Bishop David joined with other Catholic Bishops of England and Wales as they met with Anglican Bishops in Liverpool for a two-day joint meeting beginning on the 1st February.

The Bishops began with a service of midday prayer before walking in pilgrimage between the two great Cathedrals joined by the famous Hope Street. Along the way the Bishops paused by the memorial of two Bishops, Archbishop Derek Worlock, Catholic Bishop of Liverpool (1976-1996) and Bishop David Shepherd, Anglican Bishop of Liverpool (1975-1997). A statue at the memorial of the two men recognises the love the city had for these two great friends.

This years meeting of Bishops was the first since 2019 when they gathered in Leicester.
