Masterclass: Art of Living and Dying Well – 16th June

£0.00

Pastoral care of the terminally ill and all issues around death The death, dying and bereavement Masterclass aims to achieve several key learning objectives: build practical skills for accompanying the dying; understanding the natural dying process, enhancing communication abilities, and a chance to reflect on mortality. Special emphasis is placed on integrating both the practical, spiritual and human dimensions of end-of-life ministry. It is timely given the Assisted Suicide potential legislative changes ahead. Dr Julia Verne is a doctor who has recently retired from almost two decades in national leadership roles in Palliative Care from a Public Health Perspective. For almost three years, she led and ran virtual bereavement cafes for the staff initially of Public Health England and Test and Trace to cope during the COVID-19 Pandemic. She is a Visiting Professor at the Dame Cicely Saunders Institute, at King’s College London.
