Eucharistic Congress 2024

Pilgrims of Hope

What Is The Eucharistic Congress?

“The Eucharist is the presence of Jesus, it is deeply transforming. Jesus comes and must transform you. In the Eucharist, it is Christ who offers Himself, who gives himself for us. He invites us, so that our lives may be nourished by Him and may nourish the lives of our brothers and sisters”

Pope Francis

Each diocese across England and Wales will participate in the Congress with particpants gathering to renew our devotion to Jesus truly present in the Eucharist.

In our diocese, each pastoral area will be allocated six places (chosen locally) to participate with the hope of these six people leading a 40 hours devotion in their local pastoral area

When and Where Is The Eucharistic Congress?

The Eucharistic Congress will take place at St Mary’s College, Oscott on Saturday 14th September 2024. St Mary’s College was the venue for the frist Eucharistic Procession since the Reformation and in 2024 the Procession will lead the Church in preparing for the Jubilee Year. It is hoped the day will renew and deepen our devotion to the Eucharist.
