On Monday, January 13, 2025, St. Paul’s School in Milton Keynes hosted a dynamic Youth SVP (St. Vincent de Paul) Conference, bringing together students from seven Catholic secondary schools across the Diocese of Northampton. The event provided a platform for young Vincentians to deepen their faith, engage with key social issues, and explore ways to make a positive impact in their communities.

The conference focused on Catholic social teaching, encouraging students to critically reflect on local and national challenges and transform their concerns into meaningful action. Through a series of workshops and discussions, attendees explored practical ways to support those in need and advocate for justice and compassion in society.

Collaboration was a key theme of the day, with interactive team-building activities fostering new friendships and a shared sense of purpose among the young participants. The event also linked to the Jubilee Year theme, Pilgrims of Hope, inspired by Pope Francis’ call to embrace faith, hope, and action. Students reflected on how they could embody this message in their daily lives, offering hope to those most in need.

The conference concluded with a Mass celebrated by Father Emmanuel, bringing the day’s discussions and reflections into a moment of spiritual unity. As students departed, they carried with them a renewed sense of purpose, ready to translate their faith into action and serve as Pilgrims of Hope in the year ahead
