The Good Companions Group gathered at the St Thomas Centre in Northampton on Wednesday 4 December for their annual Christmas Meal, a joyful occasion filled with warmth, laughter, and festive cheer.
Members were treated to a delicious traditional Christmas lunch prepared by the talented team at Café 1850. The beautifully presented meal, complete with all the trimmings, was enjoyed by more than 50 members of this lively and energetic community group for people aged 50 and above.
The Good Companions Group meets every week at the St Thomas Centre, offering a welcoming space where friendships flourish over cups of tea or coffee and generous slices of homemade cake. The group runs a full programme of activities throughout the year, including outings, gentle exercise sessions, bingo, quizzes, craft demonstrations and talks from local organisations.
This year’s Christmas gathering was a wonderful celebration of the fellowship that the group fosters week after week. Grateful thanks go to Café 1850 for their hard work and hospitality, helping to make the afternoon so memorable.
New members are always welcome. Anyone interested in joining the Good Companions Group can contact the Cathedral parish office.
