Bishop David has appointed Canon John Udris to be Amicus Clero for the diocese of Northampton.
Canon John is returning to our diocese this summer following ten years as spiritual director at St Mary’s College, Oscott, the seminary where many of our priests trained, to be parish priest of St Peters in Marlow.
Amicus Clero, means ‘friend of the clergy’ and is a listening ear for any priest with pastoral or personal concerns.
Bishop David commended Canon John to this role saying that he knows Canon John to be a “wise and prudent counsellor in times of need”.
Canon John Udris will take up this role in September 2021.
