Sacramental Preparation & Catechesis in 2020/2021

The NORES Office is aware that many parishes will be considering how to go forward with their catechesis and preparing people for the sacraments over the coming year.
Please be assured that Diocesan Guidance for Sacramental Preparation and other catechesis is currently being formulated which will give clear direction and advice about how catechesis can take place during the remainder of 2020 and 2021.
Since there are many issues and factors to take into account this is taking some time but it will be circulated to clergy and catechists as soon as it is ready and we have had the opportunity to consult and obtain the approval of Bishop David.
In the meantime the NORES Office requests that all new sacramental preparation for 2020-2021 be put on hold and parishes make no firm plans until this guidance is made available to inform plans for catechesis taking place within the Diocese over the next year.
