Two members of Bishop David’s staff will be sleeping rough in February to raise money for charity.

Siobhan O’Donovan and Lorna Heron, the Bishop’s housekeeper and secretary respectively will be sleeping out through the night from 7.30pm on Saturday 26th February until 7.30am Sunday 27th February. They will be equipped with just a sleeping bag and a makeshift shelter.

Bishop David is a patron of the charity and our diocesan connection continues as the mission of Hope began out of the kitchen at Bishop’s House.

Siobhan has been sleeping out each year for the past eight years. Together Siobhan and Lorna are raising money as part of the Hope Centres ‘Big Sleep Out’.

This is the first time the Big Sleep Out has been in person since the pandemic. In 2021, participants were encouraged to take part on line by sleeping in kitchens or gardens and joining in online.
